Branch AGM 2007
Minutes of AGM held 5th July 2007
1) Good attendance for the meeting, probably the best ever! The secretary thanked eveyone for coming.
2) Stephen Woodward elected as Chairman, Jim Gilling elected as Secretary, Brian Mitton elected as Treasurer. Thomas Hegarty stepped down as Treasurer due to other commitments. The bank details will be changed re. Brian Mitton at the end of this month.
3) Thomas Hegarty, David Hodgson, Graham Williams and Ian Pearson elected as committee members.
4) Account balances: £ 459 in community account, £ 364.11 in deposit account, £ 429.91 cash in hand. The branch made most of the money during 2007 when the team were playing well.
5) Membership fees will be as last season £2 adults £1 for OAP’s and under 16.
6) Coach operator for next season will be Griersons, a 49 seater has been reserved for the season at the same cost as last season £165 plus £25 surcharge for any bank holiday match.
7) Coach prices will remain as last season £5 for adults and £3 for OAP’s and under 16’s. They may be revised later in the season if the Branch is having cash problems due to low attendances on the coach.
8) Coach pick-up, drop off and times will remain as last season. Kelloe Greyhound and Londis Shop Coxhoe.
9) The secretary will clarify with the Sedgefield branch the pick up and drop off points for all away games. There was some concern over getting across to Trimdon early morning for some of our members. The Branch will not run its own coaches to away games.
10) Fund raising will remain with with a football / dominoe card on the coach and also during away matches if possible. We made more money at away games than sales on the home coaches. The secretary will discuss fund raising with local companies. Brian Mitton stated that it was his families decision to donate £50 to the branch in memory of Tommy Mitton who died last season. The secretary thanked Brian for this kind gesture.
11) It was decided that for the Black Cats Bar upgrade for season ticket holders we apply for the Chelsea home game on March 15th and add Everton at home March 8th as a second choice.
12) The secretary reminded everyone that the stadium is now no smoking as will the coach due to the new smoking ban introduced July 1st.
13) Season tickets should be delivered by July 13th and for the Juventus game you must use voucher 58 from the 07/08 season ticket for ticket applications; tickets are priced at £15 £5 for under 16’s before July 19th afterwards the price will rise to £20.
14) The Branch will run a coach to the match, subject to numbers wanting to go. During the meeting there was 14 adults and 4 under 16’s wishing to attend and go in the coach.
15) For those not attending matches next year the club have signed an agreement with Century fm for match commentary at home and away games.
16) The meeting was closed at 8.30 pm
