What was the atmosphere like Jim? Looked good on tv.
How will Jeff whitley do in the Premiership do you reckon, based on this match?
Based on what I saw on TV Whitley had better start looking for another club now.
he ain't going to make the grade at Premiership level. The game on Saturday just passed him bye.
I tend to agree with comments made by the Irish on 5 live radio going back home - Engand supporters were quiet first half and never got going until we scored. The brass band was to my right (far enough out of the way) in the corner of the north stand they were trying to get every one going but even they stopped playing for a while. When the goals started going in the place was electric and then the mexican waves started even some of the executive areas joined in. Too many police in the city centre to really enjoy a good drink (I had my car so only had two pints)saw no trouble just good humour and banter - not sure if it will be the same at the return fixture in Belfast.
