Dear Branch Members,
I sadly received the following letter that I have posted below; the contents are self-explanatory. This now leaves us with 4 tickets available for Saturdays game against Reading. Anyone interested please let me know.

April 6th 2005
Dear Mr Gilling,
I am writing to express my gratitude to you and your branch for the kind invitation given to HRH The Prince of Wales, his future wife Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William and Prince Harry to attend the Sunderland v Reading game on April 9th 2005. However as you may have read in the media the Royal wedding has been re-scheduled for April 9th 2005, therefore sadly HRH The Prince of Wales, Mrs Camilla Parker Bowles, Princes William and Harry must decline your invitation to another day.
HRH The Prince of Wales discussed the invitation at great length with Mrs Parker Bowles but alas she would not allow him to postpone the wedding again as originally they had planned for April 8th 2005 to allow the Prince and the Princes to attend the Grand National race meeting at Aintree on April 9th 2005. This we have also had to cancel plus the week-end booking at the Norbreck Castle Hotel. Your invitation did arrive after the Prince and Princes had agreed to attend the Grand National and I am pleased to advise if they could have done they had chosen to attend the Sunderland fixture instead of the Grand National meeting. We do hope that you will be able to dispose of the four tickets you purchased on our behalf. If not we will fully re-imburse your branch.
On behalf of HRH The Prince of Wales, Mrs Camilla Parker Bowles and the two Princes may we wish the Coxhoe Branch and Sunderland Football Club every success for 2006 season. HRH Prince William sends his personal message as “Ha’way the Lads”.
Yours sincerely
Lord Thomas Reid – PA to HRH The Prince of Wales
