Help Required on and Urgent Basis

Guys I watched the Smogs on TV last night - switched on when they were 2:1 down and thought good they have no chance, but as the game went on and the goals were going in I started to show some interest again.

Then, I am afraid to admit, when the final goal went in I punched the air and shouted "Get In". Mrs G nearly jumped out of her seat and said something like "silly bugger" and genuinely I was chuffed for the smoggies and thought they did very well. Good luck to them in the final I say.

So my fellow bloggers I need help as soon as possible do I need therapy or am I going through the change??

I have always said I would rather be a protestant than a mag but what shall I say about rather being a smoggie. My Dad supported Boro all his life but liked to see all the NE teams doing well - is it a bit of my Dad coming out of me? Help me bloggers before I turn.

Me too Jim! I've never been a smog-mutant lover but I've got to admit I'm pleased for them, especially the way they've gone about it. Same sentiments do not apply to the Mags though! As you can imagine all the smoggies at work have been cloud nine today and have been having a lot of fun at the Mags expense "What was the Bill like last night, I've missed a few episodes lately" etc.

P.S. They reckon we all turn into our parents eventually!

You are not alone.

The very same phenomenon infiltrated my beign the last time, during the Basle game and it reappeared again last night.

I don't think it's anything to worry about though, but their exploits have been a very bright spot in a very dark season for the NE.

Then again I think the affinity we have with our old mate has a canny bit to do with it too, particularly when you look at the contribution he's mad to the squad along with the rest of his department.

Well done the Boro, Well done DP and I hope I'm jumping off the couch along with Jim and Billy in 12 days time.

Oh and do they not deserve a few more than 9,500 tickets in a stadium that takes 35,000?

UEFA taking the piss big style for their corporate buddies.

Foxy, I share your sentiment, but when you crunch the numbers the average gate for the UEFA games, comes out at a surpising 20,731.

The only time the gate fell below 10,000 was against FC Lovec, a team that you, I, and everyone in the uk had never heard of so that was unsurprising really.

Once the knock out stage started then the gates never fell below 24,000, culminating in 34,622 which had you, me, Jim, Billy and Mel committing a sin that would have had us burned at the stake not so many years ago.

The point I'm making really is ( and I know you understand it)that the fans get only half the tickets. 9,200 for Boro, 9,200 for Seville whilst the corporate sponsors and a their hangers on, who have little interest in the outcome get 17,000, that will end up being sold on the black market, ebay you name it.

If Sunderland had been in a similar position ( dream on Huyton) then we'd have been twisting and moanig if we missed out on what is the biggest day in a clubs history.

Why can't these UEFA officials pick venues that cater for the bulk of the fans.

Anyway in 11 days I'll be shouting for a team in red and white even if they aren't in stripes.

Mel, give my best to Harry, Haven't seen him since you all moved down to Darlo, but tell I'm made up that he can still hack it at that level.
