A Stern lesson for promotion push?

Sunderland have completed the signing of Trindad and Tobago international Stern John from Coventry City.

John, who is the Sky Blues top scorer this season, has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Black Cats boss Roy Keane said: “He's a powerful lad and sometimes we've lacked an aerial threat, especially since Chris Brown left. We hope Stern will play a part in helping us get promotion."
