I've traced my first Sunderland match to Saturday 18th November 1967 vs Liverpool. Inside the programme was the "Football League Review" (remember that!) and the featured team that week were none other than Sunderland. I've scanned in the team photo and posted it above together with the programme cover. A lovely photo of times gone by - Bobby Kerr looks about 10 years old.

I see George Kinnell is there onnthe front row.
There is a group doing the local clubs called ( seriously) " The Four Kinnels"
I wonder if Georgie is their fatha!
