Message from Nial

Dear Coxhoe Branch,
I'm deeply disappointed - I saw the good, the bad and the ugly of this club out there today.
We're trying to get them to play a certain type of football. When we got the [early] goal, I thought we would settle.
Our reaction to the equaliser was disappointing. Heads went down and we became disjointed, you could smell mistakes in the air. That's disappointing for me - I need characters to burst through that and deal with situations and be strong.
We got the subs on and livened up the crowd but we threw it away.
Murphy is excluded from any criticism I make, he did great work for us up front and in the wide position. I wouldn't criticise Grant Leadbitter either.
To come away and press the self-destruct button was disappointing.
My players will have to respond now. Heads drop when we concede and decision-making stops - there's a gremlin here and it's to do with confidence.
To go a goal up against Plymouth early on we should be OK. That didn't happen; there was a real lack of confidence we have to address.
Everyone who was at that match today - and their dog - would know we need to freshen it up with new faces. I need a response from the players here, but only the tough will survive now.
The more games we lose, the harder it is to attract people to come to the club.
I'm anxious to bring faces in, to get the type of players we need. We just need to turn a corner and get the crowd happy.
We should have got that win today - and we didn't play well.
All the best,
Niall

Just back from holiday. Doesn't look like I've missed much!

Surprised at the low attendances - obviously Quinny has yet to convince the majority of supporters that he means business.

Billy,
Glad to see you back hope you enjoyed your hols. Yes you certainly did not miss much and alst Saturdays performance was worse than last season!
I think the attendance won't come back until we sign someone that excites the fans and a manager that is proven and not jsut there for the money; Quinn might have taken too much on but agree in principle that until we are back in the Premiership then we can't get Big Sam interested. My bet if things don't improve or Quinn sees that he has taken on too much that Curbishly will come in.

There is also a suggestion that Paul Sturrock may be the man.

Quinny seems to have bitten off more than he can chew at this very early stage, and did himself no favours with talk of magic carpet rides and big name managers. However, it's very early days and I'm sure he's learned a lesson very quickly.

Keep your mouth shut, and if you do have to open it then make sure you back words with deeds

Crowds are traditionally large on the first home Saturday of the season and to see the crowd down by 3,000 from the Tuesday night told it's own story. With expectation so high nothing less than a fying start was expected and to lose 3 off the belt is going to knock confidence both on the playing side and on the supporting side.

So far we've heard a lot of blarney, probably on a par with the famous Gilligan Brothers and Cousins of Wembley fame.

Already it's looking like with been had by a load of Pikey's who are looking to maximise their profit by selling the family silver to Garrards and replacing it with Ratners rubbish.
