What a relief!

Next weekend I'm NOT going to see Sunderland play - what a blessed relief! A while back I decided not to go to the Spurs away game and I'm glad I made that decision. I decided to go to Charlton the week after but decided to give Spurs a miss. The way Sunderland have been playing has been spoiling my weekend and most of the following week. All I've got to do now is get through the Liverpoool game on Wednesday then I can 'relax' and not worry about watching Sunderland for 10 days. Of course I'll be listening out for the result and hoping for a better performance but I think I'll "do a Turton" next weekend and switch off from football and try and get some enthusiasm back for my London awayday to Charlton with the Billy's.

Billy, best thing I ever did. One day the realisation will dawm on you that you are suffering from an addiction. Sometimes you've just got to break the habit in order to realise that there are other things to do on a Saturday.

Dog shows, Motor shows, Bike wise, etc etc

Brian,
first of all, following on from our conversation in The Fort on Saturday you know I am in the same boat as you and it seemed like a chore to go to the SOL, and I was quite happy supping the John Smiths. But just think, you might miss our only 'other' win of the season this weekend, you will be gutted if you weren't there! (time to wake up Ian.....)

Secondly, there is a spare train and match ticket if you want to spend the day with Stevie Walton and the MillerMen? Knock-down price??? Come on Brian, you know you want to....

Hey lads, Jacks right it is an addiction. Break the adiction like my mate did. Start to miss the away games then wean yourself off by missing the home games. Wish I could mind you.

Thanks for the kind offer Ian but somehow I think I'll decline. In fact I'd rather eat my own shite than go and watch that bunch of overpaid gutless puffs play like they have been recently. They are killing the club and supporters.
Hopefully the tide will turn soon but that's not based on any postive evidence, just the fact that all bad (good) things must eventually come to an end.
Unfortunately I've committed to go to Fulham and Charlton as I haven't been to those grounds before, also Blackburn, but after that I'll need to have a serious think about any more away games as even the home games are torture at the current time. Can't see us getting anything other than a drubbing from the next two games so all we can look forward to is perhaps something from the Boxing Day game but by then I fear it will be far to late.
Have a good day and keep an eye on Steph. I expect he'll be wanting to get down the East end and see his marra's. He'll know who I mean. I think they might had been pitmen by the colour of them but not sure about those funny 'flat caps' they were wearing!
