A good day for a change!

Two cup ties, two wins, not a bad day!

This morning we went through to Smoggieland to see Ferryhill U12's trounce Whinney Banks 10-1 in the TJFA cup. Whinney Banks scored first, against the run of play, but our lads turned on the style and were 4-1 up at half time and won comfortably in the end with Vinnie scoring 6. Could have been a lot more as their goalie played a blinder and we missed a lot of chances but that's us through to the next round.

This afternoon it was Sunderland vs Northwich and for the first time in a long while I enjoyed the game. The early goal settled us down and after that we were always in control and had a comfortable win. Just a shame Stead couldn't get a goal. No Andy Gray in the squad so perhaps the rumours are right that he's on his way out.

Next week it's Chelsea - bring 'em on!
