NUFC Condoning Violence.

In any other walk of life, if you punch someone at work, then you can, quite rightly, expect to be shown the door.

I don't know what the rights and wrongs are in this issue, but it strikes me that whether it's one or more involved then all should be equally censured, perhaps some more harshly than others.
By fining Bowyer, by appealing Dyers red card, by publicly parading them in jovial mood at the Longbenton training ground laughing and smiling as if nothing very serious has occured sends out all the wrong messages.

What has gone on, on the pitch, for Bowyer to cuff Dyers lug hole. Don't tell me that just for the sheer hell of it Bowyer belted Dyer without any provocation at all. Dyer squaring up and walking / leaning into Bowyer suggests to me that their is fault on both sides and that the Chaver that Dyer is probably provoked.

So Dyer gets off scot free. Newcastle think they are seen to be tough on crime and tough on the causes of crime. Well they're not. The bottom line is that Newcastle cannot afford to be without these two players, at a stage of the season that holds some promise, albeit empty for them.

Newcastle , have today sent out all the wrong messages. Come and play here, belt who you want, we'll fine you, we'll even appeal to the FA on your behalf, but we won't sack you.

You're safe in our hands.

Unbelievable and indicative of the mentality that runs that club.

Well said Huyton couldn't agree more with your comments. Makes you wonder what the welsh midget at Celtic is thinking right now after all he only stated that the manager was lying and got booted out. One rule for one etc.

100% true Jack. The arrogance and double standards at NUFC is STAGGERING but I suppose it's consistent (i.e. consistently corrupt)
Chairman and sidekick consort with prostitutes (hope our Irish lass wasn't one of them) when on 'company business'.
Chairman and sidekick badmouth supporters and ridicule them for buying replica kit.
Chairman and sidekick deride the club talisman (Shearer).
Bobby Robson sacking and subsequent treatment was an insult to a nice guy.
Bellamy shambles.
etc
etc

I'm so pleased I wasn't born a Mag and that I support Sunderland, even though we are presently lower in the League at least our club and supporters have some HONESTY & INTEGRITY.
Haway the lads.

Jim

Iyhink your point about Bellamy is an excellent one which is well made and I'd not given any though to it until you raised it.

I think it goes to the core of everything that is bad about NUFC.

Tell a lie and your out on your ear. ( Was he lying?)
Stand up to the manager and you are out.
Speak up about playing out of position and you're out ( if you're Welsh)
Square up to a team mate and you're in.
Have a laugh about it over the weekend and you're in.

I think it speaks volumes. It puts newcastle in the public eye for all the wrong reasons ( again). Historically they've had Toongate, the alleged shananigans involving a player from Charlton ( at the time) all incorrect but still talk.
Welshman racially abusing doormen in Cardiff.
Students being belted down the Quayside.
Tesco shoppers being abused by footballers wives.
Car crashes, speeding fines.
Porn movies in Cyprus
Snubbing Hall in Spain ( I agree with that mind)

and on and on.

We have John Oster getting into scrapes in Durham, blinding Mark Maley, Whitley and Thornton sleeping in and young Browny riding shotgun in a Ford Fiesta.

I tell you what pop pickers we'll never live up to those Black and Whites.
