Losing to the European Champions

We lost 1-0 at Anfield.

There is no disgrace in that particualrly when you consider it was from a needless freekick and we played the last 20 minutes with 10 men.

Welsh sending off was never a sending off and don't be surprised to see that one rescinded very quickly. He won't even get a yellow.

I think this performance will have surprised McCarthy because he will look back on it and think" yes we frustrated them but we created opportunities that 2 strikers may have made the difference."

Expect to go 4-4-2 on Tuesday night and expect a win.

After all the negativity of the first day this performance gives real hope for the future. I have a feeling that we may just do OK.
