Half Way There!!
4 miles to go, and it's been a rather hot day to be walking on the top of Weardale. Still a steady stroll saw us back in a little over three hours and that was after agood 45 minutes of rest.
Thoroughly enjoyed this weekend.

Nice picture Jack. Good to see you benefitting from giving up the fags and getting out into the country for a nice stroll. As usual you had the camera with you to capture the scene, I presume there will be some pictures of the scenery to follow soon. BTW, who took the picture of you and Linda? Did you enlist the help of a passerby or was it done on the timer? Jimmy was telling me he's got some pictures he took indoors using the self timer but he won't post them on the website for some reason! Hope they'e not rude and capturing his early morning 'constitutional'!
I took the dog out yesterday for a longish walk (3 miles) and was lathered so you've done well to complete an 8 mile walk in such hot conditions. Presumably you're getting into training for some Canadian hill-walking.
Tell you what Billy, me longs legs aren't half sunburned after that little jaunt in the country yesterday. I'm also suffering from a bit chaffing in the nether regions due to Betty Swollocks and not being able to redajust in fron ot 4,000 people.
