The Boss Returns
From the comments in Billy's Wolves trip blog it appears that the Boss "Jack" is coming to a match in April. Must ensure the coach is clean, Stevie W does not winge, no leaks of water through the roof and most of all the seat in the front is free. Should I hand him the money bag to collect the fares or just let him relax and let him enjoy his return as the leader of our merry group?
Seriously it is good to see the Boss back and hope he enjoys the day and we get a good performance and result. Perhaps then he may want to come again!!!!!
Oh by the way as I am now 50 and Billy is 50 in April I think next season anyone over 50 should go for £3.00 return any one agree? - come on own up to your ages!

With al this talk of "Boss" you'd think the branch was really the Dukes of Hazard. Well, it felt hazardous at times over the last 2 seasons, but perhaps the ambience of the coach has improved even if the numbers have not.
Seriously, whilst the passion for the club never died, there are still serious misgivings about the quality of the team we have and I still believe we are consistently inconsistent. One thing is for sure, IF and it is a big IF, we secure promotion then serious money will need to be spent to have a realistic chance of surviving in a league where the gulf grows ever larger. I don't believe the money will be forthcoming and MM will be forced to seking out experienced jopurneymen to secure survival. The kids we have at present are not Premiership quality and MM knows that. They are there to do a job, secure promotion and then expect to see wholesale changes.
But that has to happen and this is Sunderland we are talking about. They have an awful trait of building you up only to bring you back to Earth with an almighty bump, after a lifetime of support it all gets a bit tiresome and we all need a rest at one time or another.
Never mind, April the 9th ( or maybe sooner if the mmod takes) we'll get to witnes it first hand and come out of the self imposed exile in honour of Billy, Thats the only reason, none other, RESPECT for the man.
