Jimmy's birthday night

Started off with only being able to get a taxi for 6;30 so we were stood outside the club for 10 minutes before the doors opened. When we got in we spent a few minutes on the stairs looking at the pictures of Jimmy. He hasn't changed much over the years, has he.
Got some good seats and watched the club quickly fill up. A good turn out and the place was pretty full by 8 o'clock. Here's one for Jimmy - I wonder how many of the assembled ladies you've sh@gged? Or perhaps that would be telling! I also wonder how many bottles of booze Jimmy was given - I'd guess one for each year of his life, there must have been over 50. Sat with Taffy and caught up with his crack, also saw John Turton who I hadn't seen since school. Butch and Kenny were in good form and were looking forward to the buffet afterwards; they reckoned there was loads of Indian food on .... they didn't know what it was but other people said it would be good so they knew they'd like it. I thought all the entertainment was excellent, especially the groups first set. Roughy was good and was just getting into his stride when he had to stop.
Overall an excellent night. Got the taxi home at 11:30 and fell asleep in the chair. Woke up at 4:30 with a splitting headache and went to bed. Got up again at 8:30 and felt very seedy but felt better after seeing our Alex's team win their game 7-2 and with only 10 men.
Will post again later in the week as I get more energy back.

Aye a canny night and a suprise to see an almost full house even at 7:30pm.Suffered on Sunday mind you but it was worth it. Good to see one or two old faces from the old stomping ground that is Kella.

Billy pointed out the picture in the N Echo alongside an old acquaintance from schooldays in the next column. I'll call him an acquaintance because he wasn't around long enough to call him anything else, being quickly expelled for being a thoroughly nasty piece of work and it suprising he's still around today. No names, no pack drill.

I find it incredibly sad that Billy should find a 60's tribute band from Scotlkand so exciting, and I will endeavour to find a catalogue of tunes that he can hum along to in the car as he goes to and from Smogland.

Speaking of Smogs, Stewart Downing has never looked back since he got his opportunity with the red and whites and its heartening to think we have played a part in his development.

Well I'd better get back to the shop floor. That bacon lettuce and tomato sarnie was nice, but there's work to be done and even the privilige of"Boss" won't get me out of it.
