SAFC sign Andy Gray?????

Perhaps this is the last part of our get out clause in the previous contract with SKY! Think he is a better soccer pundit than a striker.

Sunderland complete Gray signing
Mick McCarthy has signed another striker - Andy Gray from Sheffield United.
The 27 year old has joined SAFC on a contract that will see him stay with us until summer 2008, at a cost of £1.1m.
Mick McCarthy was pleased to see the deal finally done, and said "At 27 years old, he's in his prime. His style of play gives us another option up front and I think this is another excellent signing."
Gray played his final game for the Blades in their season-opening 4-1 defeat of Leicester at Bramall Lane last Saturday, when he scored from the spot.

I had not realised that this lad is the son of Frankie Gray ( ex SAFC, Notts Frst ) and the nephew of Eddie Gray from "Dorty leeds"
